As part of the Knowledge Transfer Programme (KTP), Dr. Subhacini A/P Subramaniam and her team from the Centre of Excellence (COE) for Business Innovation and Communication successfully conducted an inspiring session with 30 enthusiastic Form 4 students from Sekolah Menengah Teknik Melaka on 17 April 2025. The session was held under their project, “Sustainable Style: Empowering Young Entrepreneurs for a Greener Future.”

The programme introduced students to the dynamic world of sustainable fashion through two engaging modules: Understanding Sustainable Fashion and Consumption and Hands-on Sustainable Fashion and Upcycling Workshop. Through these modules, the students gained valuable insights into how conscious fashion choices can positively impact the environment. They also enjoyed a hands-on experience, getting creative with an exciting upcycling activity that allowed them to transform old materials into new, stylish items.

On top of that, Mr. Mohd Fahmi Mohd Diah, along with a representative from SWM Environment Sdn. Bhd., delivered an insightful talk titled “The Benefits of Recycling for the Environment.” Their sharing session emphasised the importance of recycling efforts in promoting environmental sustainability and inspired students to play an active role in greener initiatives. Overall, the session was met with great enthusiasm from both students and teachers, sparking excitement for future activities.

Well done!
