MMU has formalised a strategic collaboration with Riyadh Elm University (REU) through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and a Student Exchange Agreement on 23 May 2025 at the Cyberjaya campus. Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, President of MMU signed the pact together with Dr. Sultan Alasmari, Dean of the College of Technology and Business of REU.
The partnership aims to foster academic collaboration, student mobility, and joint research initiatives between the two institutions. The collaboration is expected to generate long-term benefits for students, academics, and industry partners in both Malaysia and Saudi Arabia. Through the exchange of knowledge, expertise, and cultural understanding, the two universities aim to strengthen their educational missions and contribute meaningfully to their respective communities.
The signing ceremony was also attended by Prof. Ir. Dr Wong Hin Yong, Vice President of Academic and Innovative Learning, Prof. Ir. Dr. Zulfadzli Yusoff, Vice President of Market Exploration, Engagement & Touchpoint, Dr. Sy. Nurleyana Wafa Sy. Naguib Wafa, Director of International Collaboration and Engagement and other MMU officers.
