On 20 May 2025, members of the Career Connect Club (C3) embarked on an engaging and insightful industry visit to the headquarters of Public Bank. The visit aimed to expose students to real-world banking operations, career opportunities, and emerging trends in the financial industry, particularly in digital banking.

The programme began with a warm welcome and a guided tour of several key locations within the bank, including the Teh Hong Piow Gallery (30th Floor), the Treasury (28th Floor), and the Library (12th Floor). These stops offered students a rare glimpse into the bank’s rich history, its operational framework, and its strong emphasis on knowledge and innovation.

A highlight of the visit was a talk by Mr. Oliver Lee from the Wealth Management & Transaction Banking division. He provided an in-depth overview of the evolution and impact of digital banking, sharing valuable insights into how technological advancements are transforming the financial services sector and what this means for future professionals.

The session continued with an informative presentation by Ms. Lai Keng Mun from the Human Capital Department. She offered practical and inspiring advice on building a career in banking, highlighting essential employability skills and current recruitment expectations in the industry.

This visit proved to be a highly beneficial experience for the students, providing them with greater awareness of the inner workings of the banking world and valuable guidance as they prepare for their own career journeys.
