On 27 May 2025, a total of 21 undergraduate students from the Faculty of Management (FOM) took part in an academic visit to Pusat Kitar Semula Cyberjaya (PKSC) and Pusat Inovasi @ Sepang, both under the Majlis Perbandaran Sepang (MPS). Organised under the Environmental and Resource Economics subject, the visit aimed to expose students to practical applications of sustainable waste management and innovation-driven environmental practices. Students involved in the visit came from three programmes: Bachelor of Analytical Economics (Hons.), Bachelor of Business Management (Hons.), and Bachelor of Digital Enterprise Management (Hons.), accompanied by Ms Noor Shahaliza Othman, FOM academic staff.

During the visit, students were welcomed with informative briefing sessions and video presentations at both PKSC and the Pusat Inovasi. These sessions provided valuable insights into the operations of recycling centres and the importance of innovation in achieving environmental goals. The briefings were followed by guided tours of both facilities, allowing students to observe waste management practices first-hand and explore ongoing sustainability initiatives led by the local authority.

This academic visit proved to be an enriching and insightful experience, bridging classroom knowledge with real-world environmental practices. Students gained a deeper understanding of how environmental policies are applied at the community level, and the importance of collective responsibility in advancing a circular economy. It also sparked critical thinking on how such initiatives align with broader economic and managerial perspectives.
