Amer Faiz Ab. Fatah, a student from Faculty of Creative Multimedia (FCM) represented MMU in the Erasmus+ programme at Politecnico, Italy recently. However, he was not able to complete the programme due to the Covid-19 outbreak in the country. It was a worthwhile experience for him and other fellow Malaysian students who were in a foreign land during the pandemic situation.

When Italy had announced total lockdown, the exchange programme which participated by Amer Faiz was suspended until further notice. However, the university still managed to conduct several online classes to the students. The university also gave the students option on to postpone or continue the programme in their home country. Following the situation in Italy, the Malaysian Embassy took quick action in evacuating all Malaysian including Amer Faiz to return in a safe condition to Malaysia. The embassy also provided great hospitality and treatment including accommodation and meals to the affected Malaysian in Italy.
