MMU Students Win Second Runner-up at HSBC Malaysia Business Case Competition 2019

A team of students from Faculty of Business from Multimedia University (MMU) won second runner-up in HSBC Malaysia Business Case Competition 2019. Thai Khye Wayn, Khoo Nee Yen, Daniel Fong Kah Zhen and Sanjey Kumar competed with 21 other teams from various private and public universities in the finals on 27 March 2019 in Hotel Istana Kuala Lumpur.

The competition was organised by Enactus Malaysia Foundation with HSBC Bank Malaysia Berhad as the sponsorship partner. The students were challenged in their analytical, strategy development and presentation skills. Furthermore, the competition also encouraged the participants from top universities in Malaysia to bring forth their best business knowledge and skills in solving real-life corporate issues. With the panel of judges comprising of business leaders, executives, entrepreneurs and professionals from various fields and industries, contestants were given insightful input throughout the case studies.

All four students showed their exceptional perseverance and desire for better performance in their training as well as the competition. This can also be attributed to the endless support and guidance from their mentor, Dr. Tan Pei Kian.
