A total of 108 participants from 6 countries namely Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, Taiwan, and Malaysia attended a two-week of International Virtual Student Exchange Programme. Organised by the Faculty of Management (FOM) and the Faculty of Computing and Informatics (FCI), the programme was held from 5th until 18th July 2021 via Google Meet.

With its theme entitled “Edu Tourism: Technopreneurship for Tomorrow”, the participants showed their interest to learn and upgrade their knowledge on entrepreneurship and technology with 11 competent trainers, who were selected from FOM and FCI. The programme was divided into three segments: Lecture Series, Modules, and Workshops.

In the first session, the trainers elaborated and discussed some interesting topics including Digital Media in Social Networking, Digital Marketing, Creative Industry, Accounting Skills, Web Development, and Mobile App Development for Business. Two modules on Entrepreneurship and Web Development Mobile App Development were delivered for the second segment. Finally, the participants were required to write their business plan using the business canvas model and pitched their ideas to the trainers.

The participants were excited and engaged with hands-on experience for them to develop and sharpen their entrepreneurial skills, readiness to face challenges using technology, and to address business issues. On top of that, the participants also virtually met with student representatives from both faculties and Rakan Exco (Rex). Besides getting to know each other and initiating their networking, they had experienced enjoyable and fun activities like The Virtual Running Man Malaysia, station games, and fun quizzes which incorporating ASEAN cultures. Overall, the participants enjoyed the programme and most importantly, they gained insight into entrepreneurial skills and IT skills, which are required to become competent technopreneurs.
