Educators from Keedsflix Preschool Bukit Jelutong, Keedsflix Sri Rampai and Keedsflix Preschool Eco Grandeur gained new perspectives on using digital tools and visual communication to support teaching and learning through a Knowledge Transfer Programme (KTP) conducted by lecturers from the Faculty of Management (FOM) on 19 September 2026.
Titled “Strengthening Teachers’ Digital Pedagogy Through Visual Branding and Instructional Design”, the programme featured a series of practical activities centred on creative thinking, instructional design and digital content development. The sessions encouraged participants to look beyond the content of their teaching materials and consider how visual elements can influence the way information is presented and understood.
Through hands-on exercises, they explored how purpose, audience and messaging can guide the development of more engaging and learner-centred educational resources. Participants also explored the fundamentals of visual branding, using familiar brands to understand how colour, typography, imagery and other design elements work together to create a consistent visual identity. A visual identity reference guide was subsequently used to help educators identify suitable visual directions for their own teaching materials.
The programme further introduced Canva and ChatGPT as practical digital tools that educators can incorporate into their creative workflow, from generating and organising ideas to developing educational content and communicating visual concepts. The knowledge and practical skills gained through the programme can support educators in developing more consistent and purposeful teaching resources while improving their confidence in using digital tools as part of their creative process.
The KTP reflects FOM’s continued efforts to share its academic and professional expertise with the wider community, while supporting educators in adapting to the growing role of digital and visual communication in education.
