MMU Academic Invited as Speaker for IEEE International Webinar Series 2026

Ts. Dr. Sumendra Yogarayan, Deputy Dean of Postgraduate and Collaborations at the Faculty of Information Science and Technology (FIST) was invited as a speaker for the IEEE International Webinar Series 2026, organised by Alliance University, Bangalore, India, on 19 September 2026 where he delivered a session titled “Edge Vehicle: Intelligence at the Speed of the Road”.

The session brought attention to the evolving connection of edge computing, artificial intelligence, and intelligent transportation, particularly the potential of bringing computational intelligence closer to vehicles and the road environment. Through the topic, Dr. Sumendra shared perspectives on how edge-enabled vehicles can process information closer to its source, support timely decision-making, and contribute towards more responsive and connected mobility ecosystems.

The international webinar served as a platform for academic and professional knowledge exchange on emerging technologies that are redefining the future of transportation.
