MMU Joins Nationwide “I’m AI Ready” Movement to Strengthen Future Skills Development

MMU further reinforced its commitment to future workforce development through a strategic collaboration with PEOPLElogy Bhd, formalised in conjunction with the launch of the nationwide “I’m AI Ready” movement. The initiative aims to prepare Malaysians for the rapidly evolving AI-driven economy by promoting digital capability building, future skills readiness, and stronger industry-academia collaboration.

Representing MMU at the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony was Prof. Ir. Dr. Zulfadzli Yusoff, Vice President of Student Experience and Entrepreneurship Development (VP SEED) in Kuala Lumpur on 19 June 2026.  Launched as a nationwide movement, “I’m AI Ready” focuses on raising awareness of Artificial Intelligence (AI), providing structured training and certification pathways, and facilitating industry-linked programmes aligned with national aspirations under the 13th Malaysia Plan and MyDigital.

The initiative is designed around three key pillars: public awareness, skills assessment and education, and industry collaboration, with target groups ranging from students and working professionals to small and medium enterprises (SMEs), civil servants, and lower-income communities. Through this collaboration, MMU continues to play an active role in supporting Malaysia’s digital transformation agenda through training and ecosystem development. By leveraging partnerships with industry players, MMU remains committed to nurturing future-ready graduates and expanding opportunities for lifelong learning and digital upskilling across society.
