The ICAEW ACA programme offers a structured pathway from Certificate to Advanced Level, combining academic learning, professional exams, and work-based training.

  • Entry Requirements
    • Level Entry Requirement
      Certificate – CFAB
      • Pass SPM / O-level or its equivalent with minimum of Grade ‘C’ in at least five (5) subjects inclusive of English; OR
      • Pass UEC with minimum of grade B in at least three (3) subjects inclusive of English; OR
      • Other equivalent qualification recognised by the Malaysian Government.
      • English Entry Requirement for International Students: a minimum score of 5.5 in IELTS or its equivalent.
      Professional level
      • Obtained ICAEW Certificate in Finance, Accounting and Business (ICAEW CFAB) OR
      • Passs Diploma, Advanced Diploma and Degree in any field of studies from a nationally accredited university (with exemptions obtained for CFAB modules)
      Advanced level
      • Completed the Professional Level
  • Programme Structure
    • 1. Certificate Level – Certificate in Finance, Accountancy and Business (CFAB)
      • Duration: 1 year
        Mode: Full-time

        6. Tax Fundamentals
    • 2. Professional Level
      • Duration: 1.5 years
        Mode: Full time/Part-time/Modular

        1. Fundamental Case Study
        2. Business & Digital Strategy
        3. Tax Compliance & Planning
        4. Corporate Financial Strategy
        5. Assurance, Risk & Reporting
        6. Corporate Reporting, Data & Assurance
    • 3. Advanced Level
      • Duration: Up to 2.5 years (with work-based learning)
        Mode: Part-time while being employed under ATE* agreement (Weekend, hybrid classes)

        1. Technical Case Study
        2. Strategic Case Study

        *Students need to have work experience with ICAEW Approved Training Employer (ATE) (at least 1.5 years) to take the Advanced Level modules.
