Approximately 60 students attended an industry talk titled “From Campus to Career: Bridging the Gap Between Graduates and Employer Expectations” organised by the Faculty of Management (FOM) at the Cyberjaya campus. The session was designed to equip students with practical knowledge and a better understanding of current industry expectations as they prepare to enter the workforce.

The talk featured Ms. Ita Wee, Chief Operating Officer of Agensi Pekerjaan Unitalent Sdn. Bhd. and an MMU alumna, together with Ms. Vanessa May, Talent Consultant at the agency. Drawing from their experience in talent acquisition and recruitment, the speakers shared valuable insights on effective resume writing, interview preparation, professional communication, and the attributes employers seek in fresh graduates. The session provided students with a clearer perspective on how to position themselves competitively in today’s job market and highlighted the importance of developing both technical competencies and professional skills.

Organised by Ms. Fatin Zaida Zaidi and Ms. Nurul Atiah Mohd Zin, with support from Dr. Muhammad Nizam Zainuddin, Faculty Alumni Liaison Coordinator, the programme reflects FOM’s ongoing efforts to enhance graduate employability through meaningful industry engagement. By connecting students directly with industry practitioners and alumni, the faculty continues to provide opportunities for students to gain relevant career insights, strengthen their workplace readiness, and make informed decisions about their future career pathways.
