On 21 May 2026, the Faculty of Management (FOM) organised a University Social Responsibility (USR) programme in collaboration with the Suri Rumah Rahmah Club through an online workshop entitled “Dari Dapur ke Digital: Suri Rumah & AI.”

The initiative involved 38 participants from the Suri Rumah Rahmah Club representing various states across Malaysia and aimed to introduce housewives to the practical use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in daily life and entrepreneurship activities.

Conducted with the support of the President of the Suri Rumah Rahmah Club, Ms Farhana Miskom, the programme focused on empowering participants with basic digital knowledge and practical exposure to AI tools. Throughout the workshop, participants were introduced to various AI applications that could assist in content creation, idea generation, marketing, and online business management. The session also highlighted how AI can support home based businesses and create opportunities for additional income generation among housewives.

The workshop was conducted by trainers from FOM, namely Ms NorZarina Md Yatim, together with Ms Nor Hazleza Mohamad and Dr Noor Shahaliza Othman. Through interactive sharing sessions and hands-on activities, participants gained valuable insights into how AI can be utilised to improve productivity, creativity, and digital communication in both personal and business settings. Beyond enhancing digital literacy, the programme also encouraged participants to embrace technology with greater confidence and adaptability in today’s evolving digital landscape.
