ILP Sharing Series Builds Students’ Financial Life Skills

An online Industry Learning Partner (ILP) session titled “Financial Goal Setting” for Marketing degree students was conducted on 27 April 2026. Mr. Koh Kian Guan, Head of the Agency Builder Department of LPA Team, shared his perspective on personal finance topics such as how people spend money, how to set financial goals, and how to make smarter financial choices for the future. The speaker also explained budgeting, income management, regular saving, financial protection, and building long-term wealth.

The session was delivered in a simple and practical manner, using real-life examples. This helped students understand how good financial planning can support long-term life goals such as buying a house, supporting a family, and pursuing further studies. Students were also encouraged to reflect on their own spending habits and consider how they could manage their finances more effectively, highlighting the importance of early planning and financial discipline.

Coordinated by Dr. Jack Ng Kok Wah and Dr. Goh Han Hwa, the session provided students with valuable financial knowledge and practical skills. It also helped prepare them to make more informed financial decisions in both their personal lives and future careers.
