
As part of an industrial exposure initiative, 24 students and a lecturer from the Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET) visited PPK Technology Sdn Bhd in Ayer Keroh, Melaka on 9 April 2026. The visit was organised by the FET Industrial Linkage Committee (ILC).
The programme began with a talk titled “AI Driven Smart Traffic Solutions” delivered by Dr. Fararishah Abdul Khalid, Business Development Manager at PPK Technology Sdn Bhd. The session provided insights into current developments in smart city implementation, with a focus on the application of artificial intelligence in traffic control systems.
Participants were then taken on a guided tour of the company’s facilities, where they observed the assembly and testing processes of the AI-based smart traffic system developed by the company. The visit provided students with exposure to real-world engineering practices and industry applications.
The programme concluded with a sharing session by Dr. Aminuddin Ahmad Kayani, Chief Executive Officer of PPK Technology Sdn Bhd, who shared the company’s vision and highlighted potential opportunities for MMU students to undertake industrial training with the organisation. The visit provided valuable exposure to industry practices and strengthened students’ understanding of AI-driven smart traffic systems in real-world applications.
