The Faculty of Management (FOM) successfully organised an engaging school outreach programme on 11 April 2026 in conjunction with the MMU Info Day, welcoming 80 enthusiastic students from Pay Fong Middle School, Melaka.
The programme aimed to introduce students to the dynamic world of business, accounting, and management studies offered at FOM, while also helping them gain early exposure to future academic and career pathways.
Through an interactive sharing session, students were introduced to a range of undergraduate programmes. The session highlighted how these disciplines are closely aligned with current industry needs and evolving career opportunities in a digital-driven economy.
Designed to be student-centred and engaging, the programme incorporated interactive discussions, real-life case examples, and thought-provoking activities. These approaches helped enhance students’ understanding of FOM’s academic offerings while sparking curiosity and interest in pursuing higher education at MMU.
FOM representatives also emphasised the importance of critical thinking, digital literacy, and ethical leadership as essential competencies for future graduates, in line with global trends and Malaysia’s aspiration to develop a future-ready workforce.
The students actively participated throughout the session, demonstrating strong interest and enthusiasm during the activities and discussions.
This initiative reflects FOM’s ongoing commitment to community engagement and educational outreach, strengthening the connection between secondary education and university pathways while inspiring the next generation of future leaders.
