Sharpening Career Skills at Job Application & Interview Workshop

More than 100 students attended a session entitled “How to Ace Job Applications & Hook HR in Interviews” was held at the Melaka campus on 2 April 2026. Conducted by Ms. Kaviarasi Ravi from Airswift, who shared insights to provide students with the essential “career edge” needed to navigate today’s competitive job market.

The presentation focused on the mechanics of a high-impact resume, demonstrating how a sharp 2–3-line objective can immediately grab an HR manager’s attention. Emphasis was placed on balancing technical skills, such as Microsoft Office and Canva, with essential soft skills to create a “work-ready” profile. Advice on using clear bullet points to showcase internship responsibilities, alongside side-by-side comparisons of good versus bad resume examples, highlighted common pitfalls and professional standards.

The session remained engaging during the Q&A segment, allowing students to gain clarity on transitioning from university to the corporate world. Ms. Kaviarasi also shared practical tips on tailoring applications and handling interviews with confidence. Organised by Career Fair committee with the support of Career Connect and FOB, the session concluded by providing attendees with a deeper understanding of professional branding, encouraging them to level up their profiles for future projects.
