On 30 and 31 March 2026, the Faculty of Information Science & Technology (FIST) hosted the 2026 International Knowledge Exchange (SDG Series). The event highlighted international collaboration by featuring 12 distinguished guest speakers, each representing a different collaborating university from Central Java, Indonesia. The series aimed to foster meaningful discussions on how innovation and technology can contribute to a more sustainable and inclusive future, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Over the two-day knowledge-sharing session, the experts explored a diverse range of critical themes, including digital transformation, healthcare and well-being, education, sustainable communities, and entrepreneurship. The discussions covered various topics, ranging from integrating technology in elementary education by Ms. Arisanti Ayu Wardhani (Universitas Telogorejo Semarang) to leveraging digital platforms to enhance the productivity of women-owned MSMEs. The presentations highlighted multifaceted approaches to addressing current challenges.

Furthermore, Prof. Dr. Tri Purwani (Universitas AKI) emphasised sustainable financial management for economic growth and elderly care, illustrating strategies needed to drive both economic prosperity and societal progress.

The knowledge-sharing sessions concluded with closing remarks by Ts. Dr. Chong Siew Chin, Deputy Dean (Student Experience and Alumni) of FIST, who highlighted the importance of such international collaborations in advancing the Sustainable Development Goals.
