The Ramadan Sweet Charity 2026 programme was held at Masjid Al-Hakeem, Kampung Tehel, Melaka and was officiated by Multimedia University (MMU) President, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud on 7 March 2026. Organised by the Student Lifestyle and Experience (STyLE) together with the students’ clubs and other strategic partners, the event brought together members of the university community, local residents, partners, and sponsors in the spirit of compassion and community service during the holy month of Ramadan.

In his speech, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham expressed appreciation to the mosque committee, particularly the Chairman of Masjid Al-Hakeem, Tuan Haji Jumali Haji Sidek, for their warm cooperation and support in hosting the programme.

The initiative highlights MMU’s commitment to nurturing well-rounded graduates who not only excel academically but also demonstrate strong leadership, empathy, and social responsibility. Programmes such as Ramadan Sweet Charity provide a meaningful platform for students to engage in community service while cultivating the values of volunteerism, compassion, and teamwork.

This year’s programme features several community-focused activities, including Infak Kasih, where students joined residents of Kampung Tehel in a gotong-royong effort to prepare and distribute bubur lambuk along with essential food boxes to members of the local community. The programme also includes a mosque clean-up and a communal iftar with villagers, followed by the Tautan Kasih visit to a local orphanage and the Singgah Sahur initiative to distribute sahur meals to frontliners, reflecting the spirit of Ramadan while strengthening ties between the university and the surrounding community.
