An MBA industry learning session featuring Mr. Anup Ravindranathan, Global Head of Customer Engagement Technologies at Swift Support Services Malaysia, was held at the Cyberjaya campus on 13 January 2026. The session was part of the Digital Transformation and IT Governance subject, coordinated by Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Lilian Anthonysamy from the Faculty of Management (FOM).

During the session, Mr Anup presented on VUCA (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, and Ambiguity) and its implications for contemporary managerial decision-making in digitally driven organisations. He outlined key managerial challenges in VUCA environments, including market volatility, decision making under uncertainty and global operation complexity. These challenges were complemented by a discussion on effective management strategies required to sustain organisational agility, resilience, and strategic alignment.

The speaker further introduced the Agile Manifesto and its core principles, explaining how agile thinking supports adaptive leadership, iterative decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration. He elaborated on commonly adopted agile methodologies, illustrating how organisations leverage agile practices to respond swiftly to change while maintaining governance discipline and accountability in digital transformation initiatives.

The session concluded with interactive class activities, where MBA students applied VUCA and agile concepts to practical scenarios. These activities encouraged critical thinking, collaborative problem-solving, and experiential learning, enabling students to translate theoretical frameworks into actionable managerial insights.
