Nearly 300 participants joined the International Seminar on Artificial Intelligence held in a hybrid format connecting Multimedia University (MMU) and Universitas Catur Insan Cendekia (UCIC), Indonesia on 15 December 2025.
Jointly organised by the Industrial Linkage Committee of the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence and Engineering (FAIE) and the Industrial Linkage Committee of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET), with support from the International Collaboration and Engagement (ICE), and in collaboration with ZTE Corporation and UCIC, the seminar was part of ongoing Virtual Mobility initiatives between FAIE, FET, and UCIC. The programme offered participants a platform for cross-border engagement, academic sessions, and interaction among students and staff, reinforcing international learning opportunities.
The seminar featured Dr. Gang Zhao, Deputy Director of the Integrated Technical Delivery Department, ZTE Corporation, China, who presented “AI, 6G & Future Careers,” highlighting how 6G will accelerate AI adoption for smart cities and autonomous systems. This was followed by Mr. Marsani Asfi, Dean of Academics, Innovation and Technology, UCIC, who delivered a session on “Explainable AI,” underscoring the importance of transparency and trust in AI systems.
The programme concluded with an interactive Q&A session, a recognition ceremony for FAIE staff who completed the ZTE 5G NR Network Planning and Optimization (NPO) course, and networking activities, reflecting the continued progress in academic collaboration between MMU and UCIC.
