
Dr. Muhammad Afif Fathullah, Senior Lecturer from the Faculty of Management (FOM), participated as an invited speaker at the Russian-Malaysian Youth Dialogue held on 3 December 2025 at the International Youth Centre. The event was hosted by the Russian Centre of Science and Culture (RCSC) in Kuala Lumpur, also known as the Russian House.
The forum commenced with a video address by H.E. Sergey Lavrov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, underscoring the importance of youth engagement in strengthening bilateral relations. The dialogue focused on initiatives and developments in scientific, educational, cultural, technological, and research collaboration between Russia and Malaysia. Key discussion areas included student and researcher mobility experiences and opportunities, successful cultural initiatives in both countries, and an exploration of the similarities and differences between Malaysian and Russian societies.
The session concluded with a forward-looking exchange on enhancing bilateral cooperation, where participants deliberated potential future programmes, events, and collaborative projects across science, education, culture, technology, and research. Insights and connections forged through this dialogue are expected to open new avenues for youth engagement and contribute to the continued strengthening of Russia–Malaysia partnerships.
