Sivananthan Lee Jayapalan from the Faculty of Computing and Informatics (FCI) and Mitchel Anand Nadarajah from the Faculty of Management teamed up as Team Splink and secured third place in the Services Category at the grand finale and closing ceremony of the National Micro Enterprise Pitching Competition (NMEPC) 3.0 2025, held on 24 November 2025.

The duo received their award from Dato’ Dr. Hj. Megat Sany Megat Ahmad Supian, Deputy Secretary General (Policy) of the Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE). Organised by the Ministry of Higher Education in collaboration with Universiti Teknikal Melaka (UTeM) at the Swiss Garden Hotel, Melaka, the competition attracted 38 submissions from local and government-linked universities, with Team Splink making it to the final round.

The team then impressed the judges with their strong presentation on their business venture, Splink, an app for sports club management designed to streamline operations, centralise communication, and enhance student participation. This success was further strengthened by the support and guidance provided by the Entrepreneurship Development Centre (EDC).

Congratulations to Sivananthan and Mitchel on this remarkable achievement! Their accomplishment reflects the innovative spirit at MMU and will motivate the next wave of student innovators.
