Acquiring Essential Techniques on Research Design and Publication

The Faculty of Business (FOB) successfully organised a webinar entitled “Essential Techniques on Research Design and Publication” on 5 November 2025. The research talk attracted nearly 20 postgraduate students and academics, reflecting strong interest in research and publication. The research talk was delivered by Professor Dr. Selim Ahmed, Dean, Faculty of Business Studies, World University of Bangladesh, Dhaka, a prolific researcher with over 75 publications in peer-reviewed journals and an editorial advisory member of several international journals.

In his sharing session, Prof. Selim shared valuable insights on the fundamentals of research methods and guidelines for publishing a research paper, and he also shared his own research experience publishing in top-tier journals, which was helpful for postgraduate researchers at the initial stage.

The webinar was graced by Dr. Lim Kah Boon, Deputy Dean, Postgraduate and Collaborations, Faculty of Business. The successful execution of the programme was made possible by the dedication and efforts of the organising committee: Dr. Mohammad Tariqul Islam Khan, Head of the MPhil & PhD Programme, and Dr. Lim Ying San, Deputy Head of the MPhil & PhD Programme, Faculty of Business.
