Sports Mania 2025 Wraps Up with High Energy and Heartfelt Spirit

The third edition of Sports Mania, MMU’s annual student sporting event, came to a vibrant close after several days of energetic competitions, enthusiastic support, and strong displays of teamwork across the campus. The closing ceremony was officiated by Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, President of MMU, on 17 November 2025 at the Cyberjaya campus. The ceremony was also attended by Prof. Ir. Dr. Zulfadzli Yusoff, Vice President of Student Experience and Entrepreneurship Development, together with Hall Patrons and Advisors.

This year’s edition featured a diverse lineup of sporting activities, featuring a total of 15 sports namely archery, badminton, basketball, bowling, chess, dodgeball, e-sports, football, frisbee, futsal, netball, pickleball, table tennis, volleyball, and bocce that brought out the best in MMU students, showcasing not only their athletic abilities but also their collaborative spirit. The campus was filled with excitement as students engaged in friendly competition, reflecting the university’s commitment to fostering a healthy balance between academic excellence and holistic student development.

Earlier, the opening ceremony was held at the Melaka campus on 13 November 2025, marking the start of this annual event aimed at promoting unity, encouraging active participation in sports, and strengthening the culture of teamwork within the university community. This event served as a platform for students to build their resilience, leadership, and sportsmanship while celebrating the campus spirit.
