Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, President of MMU graced the 2nd Global IPv6 Cyber Security Seminar 2025, held on 16 October 2025 at the MMU Cinema, Cyberjaya campus. The event was organised in strategic partnership with CyberSecurity Malaysia, the Network Innovation and Development Alliance (NIDA), and the Global IPv6 Forum.

The seminar featured a distinguished line-up of keynote speakers from leading industries and academia, who shared valuable insights on IPv6 development, cybersecurity advancements, and strategies to enhance digital resilience.

A key highlight of the event was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between MMU and NIDA, represented by Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud and Prof. Emeritus Dr. Sureswaran Ramadass, Vice Chair of NIDA. This collaboration aims to strengthen academic and technical project, research & innovation, industry-academia linkage as well as students & faculty engagement.

In conjunction with the seminar, a technical workshop on securing SRv6 was conducted on 17 October 2025, offering participants hands-on experience in addressing emerging threats and implementing effective countermeasures.

Also present at the opening ceremony were Prof. Dr. Wong Eng Kiong, Vice President of Market Exploration, Engagement and Touchpoint; Prof. Ts. Dr. Lau Siong Hoe, Dean of the Faculty of Computing and Informatics; Dr. Navaneethan C. Arjuman; as well as MMU staff and students.
