FOM Team Among Top 5 Finalists in TM’s Inaugural LLM AI League 2025

A team of four staff members from the Faculty of Management (FOM), namely Dr. Muhammad Afif Mohd Fathullah, Nur Intan Adhani Muhammad Nazri, Mohd Azizi Sanwani, and Dr. Muhammad Nizam Zainuddin, represented MMU under the team’s name NIAA and emerged as one of the Top 5 finalists in the TM LLM AI Competition. The final stage took place on 15 October 2025.

The competition, held as part of the AI for Everyone initiative, was organised by Telekom Malaysia (TM) in collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS). It aimed to make Artificial Intelligence (AI) more accessible to all TM employees while encouraging learning, experimentation, and innovation using Large Language Models (LLMs).

Among 30 participating teams from across TM Group, including faculties, departments, and subsidiaries, the NIAA team from FOM stood out and earned a place in the grand finale alongside teams from TM Credence, TM GNT, TM One, and TM R&D.

Although NIAA finished in fourth place, their journey to the Top 5 reflects the talent, creativity, and digital expertise fostered within FOM. This achievement highlights the faculty’s strong foundation in digital business management and demonstrates how its members continue to apply knowledge and innovation beyond the classroom.
