FCM Highlights Final-Year Talent at VFX Industry Preview Screening 2025

The Visual Effects (VFX) Industry Preview Screening 2025, highlighting the creativity and technical skills of final-year students from the Faculty of Creative Multimedia (FCM), was successfully held at MMU Cinema on 20 September 2025.

The showcase featured projects that combined imagination, storytelling, and cinematic innovation. The event was further enriched by the presence of distinguished guests from the National Film Development Corporation Malaysia (FINAS), Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM), as well as industry partners and FCM alumni. Their participation demonstrated strong support for MMU’s ongoing efforts to nurture future talent in Malaysia’s visual effects sector.

Notable attendees included Mr. Kamaruza’ain A Kadir, Senior Principal Assistant Director (Creative & Technical), FINAS; Pn. Shahrizan Shariff, Acting Director, Creative Content, MDEC; and Mr. Mohd Aliff Bin Mohd Nor, TV Producer, RTM. Also present were FCM alumni Ghaz Abu Bakar, Film Director, Media Hustler; Azim Bin Mohd Hulaimi, VFX Producer, Mira Digital; and Shukri Yunos, Managing Director, Superbonfire.

Their encouragement serves as a source of pride and motivation for the MMU community, reinforcing the university’s role in advancing creative multimedia education and contributing to the growth of Malaysia’s visual effects industry.
