A group of students from the Faculty of Business (FOB), guided by Ms. Siow Yung Ern, carried out a fundraising initiative on 12 September 2025 in support of Pusat Jagaan Kasih Sayang Angel, Melaka. The home currently provides shelter and care for about 40 children from various backgrounds, and the students aimed to ease their daily needs by contributing essential items such as bread, flour, sugar, eggs, and cleaning supplies.
Through the support of family, friends, and lecturers, the students managed to raise RM250. Over two days, they sold bomboloni on campus and also took pre-orders to boost their collection. The proceeds were used to purchase basic necessities, which were then delivered to the home to help reduce its daily expenses and bring comfort to the children.
The organising team, which comprised Husna Zafirah, Rubesh, Afeef Iman, Sharvenddra and Sakthivel, shared their appreciation for the strong support they received and the satisfaction of seeing their efforts make a difference. They also noted that the project gave them valuable lessons in teamwork, planning, and community engagement, while at the same time nurturing a deeper sense of social responsibility.
Encouraged by the success of this initiative, the students hope to continue organising similar efforts in the future, with the aim of reaching out to more communities and creating lasting positive changes.
