A total of 88 students from Soleh Integrated Islamic School, Cyberjaya, participated in a Knowledge Transfer Programme (KTP) on 19 August 2025. The initiative was led by Ir. Dr. Siva Priya Thiagarajah, with support from the MMU Smart Sensor Team (MUST), an award-winning subcommittee under the Engineering Society (EngSoc).
MUST facilitators namely Lim Zing, Maanic Hamarays, Putri Roza Nurul Ain binti Norzam Zam Johann, Mahadi Alam Mashfi, Lee Joe Ann, Quah Ming Yi, Yousouf Ahmed Samy Abdelaziz, Muhammad Izzat bin Muhammad Nazarudin, and Tan Choong Sheng guided the students in designing a mini IoT system using ESP32. The system was programmed to detect moisture and temperature, with data displayed on a Blynk dashboard.
In line with FAIE’s commitment to experiential learning, the programme actively engaged undergraduate students in project management, community outreach, and leadership development. Following the workshop, FAIE Deputy Dean Ir. Prof. Hezerul Abdul Karim officiated the launch of an IoT Experiential Lab at Soleh School. The lab features a mini hydroponic setup controlled through the ThingsSpeak platform, serving as a continuous learning hub to foster awareness of IoT applications within the school community.
Well done!
