#MaybankDay Campus Edition 2025 Empowers Students to Build Careers with Purpose

On 20 August 2025, MMU welcomed Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Ir. (Dr) Zamzamzairani Mohd Isa, Chairman of Maybank and Adjunct Professor at the Faculty of Management, MMU, together with Mr. Shahril Azuar Jimin, Group Chief Sustainability Officer (GSCO) of Maybank, for an impactful forum entitled “Beyond the Bottom Line: Building a Career with Purpose.”

The forum, facilitated by the Learning Institute for Empowerment (LiFE) as part of the Integrity and Leadership Talk series, was attended by more than 2,000 students, along with members of the MMU Management Committee. It served as a valuable platform for students to explore how careers can be shaped not only by success but also by values, purpose, and positive impact.

Students also gained financial knowledge through the Maybank Financial Literacy Talk session on Scam Awareness, delivered by Ms. Nor Athirah Nasaruddin, Financial Services Executive at Maybank@UiTM. Held at the FOM Lecture Theatre Hall, this session helped raise awareness among students on how to recognise and avoid scams while strengthening their financial resilience.

#MaybankDay is a campus-centric career and engagement initiative by Maybank, designed to give university students industry exposure, hands-on experience, and practical financial awareness. The programme also featured skill-building opportunities including mock interviews with Maybank recruiters and the interactive Global #Mbassador booth, led by iCadet x Global Maybank student ambassadors.

Through these initiatives, #MaybankDay Campus Edition 2025 successfully empowered MMU students to develop purposeful careers while equipping them with the skills and awareness needed to thrive in today’s professional landscape.
