Sharpening Financial Skills through Real-World Investment Knowledge

On 18 June 2025, an insightful Industrial Talk titled “Bridging Strategy and Goals: Investment Management through a Financial Planner’s Lens” was held at Theatre 2, MMU Melaka, attracting approximately 60 enthusiastic students and faculty members.

The session was delivered by Mr. Wong Choon Hong, a Licensed Financial Planning Practitioner and Adviser, as well as a distinguished Permata Dunia and proud alumnus of the Faculty of Business, Class of 2011. Drawing from his professional journey, Mr. Wong emphasised the importance of cultivating strong investment knowledge and shared practical strategies for aligning financial decisions with both personal values and long-term goals.

The event was graced by Madam Hazlaili Binti Hashim, Head of the Department of Business, Economics and Finance, whose presence underscored the university’s support for industry-academic engagement. This talk was organised by Dr. Audrey Lim Li Chin, Ms. Ng Lik Neo, and Dr. Ng Tuan Hock, reflecting their ongoing commitment to enriching students’ learning experiences through real-world perspectives.
