Permata Dunia Inspires Students with Journey of Growth and Grit

A session with Mr. Hiswadi Anuar, Head of Human Resources & Admin at Technology Depository Agency Berhad and a proud Permata Dunia from the Faculty of Business (Class of 2007), was held on 30 May 2025 at the Melaka campus. Organised by the Centre for Alumni and the Faculty of Business (FOB), this Inspirational Sharing Session (i3) featured a talk entitled “What They Don’t Teach You in Class: Secrets to Success from the Inside.”

Mr. Hiswadi shared valuable insights drawn from his personal and professional journey. He emphasised the importance of self-leadership, adaptability, and resilience—qualities often overlooked in academic settings but essential for success in today’s dynamic work environment.

Rather than focusing solely on academic achievement, he encouraged students to cultivate a growth mindset, enhance their emotional intelligence, and develop the confidence to take initiative. His candid reflections and practical advice offered students a deeper understanding of what it truly takes to succeed beyond the classroom.

The session served as a powerful bridge between academic life and real-world experience. It also demonstrated the meaningful impact alumni can make by returning to share their knowledge and experiences.
