Continuing its school outreach efforts, the MMU Beamer Singgah Sekolah made its way to Kolej Islam Sultan Alam Shah (KISAS), Klang on 19 August 2026 for an interactive sharing and career motivation session titled “Ada Apa Selepas SPM – Kerjaya Masa Hadapan.” The MMU delegation was warmly welcomed by Mr. Mohd Zainal Fitri Hassan Basri, Senior Assistant for Student Affairs, who represented the KISAS administration.

The session featured three MMU leaders who are also KISAS alumni, namely Prof. Dr. Hishamuddin Ismail, Director of MMU Melaka Campus and academic member of the Faculty of Business (FOB); Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Siti Fatimah Abdul Razak, Dean of the Faculty of Information Science and Technology (FIST); and Dr. Hasbollah Mat Saad, Dean of the Faculty of Law. Coming from three different academic fields, they shared their respective journeys after SPM, including their experiences in higher education and careers, and how their knowledge and expertise have since brought them to different academic and leadership roles at MMU.

Their sharing also highlighted how knowledge acquired in different fields can be applied beyond the boundaries of a particular profession. From understanding technology, mathematics, logic and the importance of human judgement and ethics in an increasingly AI-driven world, to recognising the role of law in everyday decisions, rights and responsibilities, and the relevance of business knowledge across different professions and organisations, the speakers offered students different perspectives on how their education can shape the way they approach future studies, careers and everyday life.

The session also gave students an opportunity to interact with the speakers, ask questions and hear first-hand experiences from former KISAS students who have since pursued different educational and career paths. Their journeys served as examples of how students from the same school can take different routes after SPM, develop expertise in different fields and eventually contribute in diverse roles.

Coordinated by Corporate Communication Department (CCD), the programme provided a meaningful opportunity for MMU leaders to return to their former school and share their experiences with the next generation of students, while giving the school students greater exposure to the possibilities that lie beyond SPM and continuing MMU’s engagement with schools through the MMU Beamer Singgah Sekolah initiative.
