On 29 July 2026, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, President of Multimedia University (MMU), welcomed a delegation from the Ministry of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services of Zimbabwe, led by Mr. Nick Mangwana, its Permanent Secretary to the Cyberjaya campus.

The visit provided an opportunity for both parties to exchange insights and explore potential areas of collaboration in digital innovation, media, creative industries and talent development. The programme commenced with opening remarks and an introduction to MMU by Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham, who highlighted the University’s strengths in technology-driven education, industry collaboration, research and innovation, as well as its commitment to producing future-ready graduates equipped to meet the demands of the rapidly evolving digital landscape.

The programme continued with a discussion on potential areas of collaboration, during which both parties explored opportunities for partnership in digital media, creative technologies, capacity building, talent development and knowledge exchange. The discussion reflected a shared commitment to strengthening cooperation between academia and government in support of innovation and digital transformation.

Following the discussion, the delegation toured several facilities at the Faculty of Creative Multimedia and Faculty of Cinematic Arts (FCA).  The tour provided the delegates with first-hand exposure to MMU’s facilities and expertise in creative multimedia, virtual production and digital content creation. Overall, the visit marked another step in MMU’s ongoing efforts to strengthen international partnerships and foster greater collaboration in education, research and innovation.
