The Faculty of Information Science and Technology (FIST) successfully organised the FIST Projects, Research & Innovation Showcase MMU 2026 (FIST PRISM), marking a significant milestone for the faculty in celebrating innovation, research excellence, and academic achievement, recently. The showcase brought together students, academics, industry partners, and visitors, providing a vibrant platform for Diploma, Undergraduate Final Year Project (FYP), and Postgraduate students to present their research, innovative solutions, and technological developments while fostering collaboration between academia and industry.
The event featured a total of 112 projects, involving approximately 150 participants, and welcomed more than 100 visitors. The showcase highlighted the creativity, dedication, and research capabilities of FIST students across various disciplines, demonstrating their commitment to addressing real-world challenges through innovative ideas and cutting-edge technologies. Participants had the opportunity to present their work to academic and industry experts, receive valuable feedback, and engage in meaningful discussions that enriched their learning experience and professional development.
The faculty extends its sincere appreciation to all who contributed to the success of FIST PRISM 2026. Special thanks are extended to the Campus Director, Professor Dr. Hishamuddin, the Dean of FIST, Associate Professor Ts. Dr. Siti Fatimah Abdul Razak, the organising committee, sponsoring companies CodeXGate Sdn. Bhd. and Mininja Sdn. Bhd., Final Year Project supervisors, postgraduate supervisors, student helpers, participants, internal and external judges, industry representatives, invited guests, visitors, and all staff members whose dedication, commitment, and support made the event possible.
The showcase concluded successfully, reflecting FIST’s commitment to nurturing innovation, advancing research excellence, and strengthening collaboration with industry. By providing students with opportunities to showcase their work and engage with experts from academia and industry, FIST PRISM 2026 has laid a strong foundation for future showcases while reinforcing the faculty’s mission of cultivating impactful research and technology-driven solutions for the future.
