Ten student leaders from the Faculty of Management (FOM) and Faculty of Business (FOB) participated in the 9th Forum Ilmuwan Malaysia MADANI (FIM), hosted by Bank Negara Malaysia in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education, on 31 March 2026 at Sasana Kijang, Kuala Lumpur.

The students were accompanied by Dr. Abby Ashraff bin Saprudin, FOM Deputy Dean, and Ms. Hazlaili Hashim from FOB, reflecting MMU’s strong commitment to student leadership development and national-level engagement.

The invite-only forum served as a high-level intellectual discourse platform, bringing together academia, policymakers, and industry leaders to deliberate on structural reforms and the critical role of the financial sector in advancing Malaysia’s economic potential. Key discussion areas included Islamic finance, digital payments, and other strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening a modern and resilient economy.

Participation in FIM provided MMU student leaders with a valuable opportunity to gain first-hand exposure to national policy discussions, enhance their understanding of current economic challenges, and engage directly in conversations shaping Malaysia’s future direction.
