MMU through its Business Growth and University Sustainability (BGUS) division, recently met with Cisco to explore potential areas of collaboration under the Country Digital Accelerator (CDA) initiative on 14 April 2026 at the Cyberjaya campus.

The session brought together representatives from both sides, including BGUS General Manager Mr. Shamsul, Knowledge and Technology Transfer (KTT) Director Prof. Ts. Dr. Ooi Shih Yin, Deputy Director Dr. Yeow Jian Ai, as well as Ms. Shuba, Cnergy CEO Mr. Kamal, Ir. Dr. Azizi, and Ms. Norafida. Cisco was represented by Ms. Yazmin, Ms. Nurul Wahida, and Ms. Norazmila.

Among the key points discussed was a proposal to introduce a Cisco-themed pitching session at iNVENTX 2026. The session is intended to encourage researchers to work on real-world challenges using Cisco technologies, with the potential for selected ideas to be further developed under CDA-related initiatives.

The discussion also touched on the possibility of Cisco coming on board as an industry partner for the Knowledge Transfer Programme (KTP), as well as expanding Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) programmes through Cnergy to support talent development. The engagement reflects MMU’s ongoing efforts to strengthen industry collaboration and support the growth of the digital innovation ecosystem in Malaysia.
