On 12 March 2026, university leaders and media practitioners convened for a meaningful gathering at the Majlis Berbuka Puasa MMU Bersama Media 2026 held at the Moxy Putrajaya. The event aimed to strengthen ties and express appreciation for the media’s continued support in highlighting the university’s initiatives and achievements.

The event was attended by Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, President of MMU, alongside members of the university’s leadership team. Also present was Buqhairah Tuan Muhamad Adnan, President of the Putrajaya Media Club, reflecting the strong and collaborative relationship between MMU and the media fraternity.

During the session, the President expressed his appreciation to media partners for their continuous support in disseminating news and updates about the university to the wider public. He also shared several recent developments and initiatives undertaken by MMU.

Among the highlights was the Malaysia–France Engineering Degree Programme, which enables students to obtain dual-recognition qualifications: the Bachelor Universitaire de Technologie (BUT) in Networks & Telecommunications from France and the Bachelor of Engineering (Hons.) Electronics (Telecommunications) from MMU.

MMU has also introduced two professional programmes in collaboration with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and the CFA Institute. These initiatives provide alternative pathways for students beyond MMU’s existing accounting degree programmes. Through the collaboration with ICAEW, students have the opportunity to pursue the prestigious Chartered Accountant qualification without following the conventional accounting degree route.

In addition, MMU has partnered with the CFA Institute to offer the University Affiliation Program (UAP) through the Bachelor of Finance programme. The curriculum is aligned with the CFA Programme, enabling students to sit for the Level 1 and Level 2 CFA examinations during their studies, while Level 3 can be attempted after graduation upon completing 4,000 hours of relevant work experience.

The session also highlighted tuition fee reductions for two postgraduate programmes. The Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) is now offered at RM15,000 after discount, compared to the original fee of RM20,500. Meanwhile, the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) is offered at RM26,100, reduced from the original fee of RM52,300 for the entire programme.

Meanwhile, students who are set to receive their Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) results on 31 March 2026 will have the opportunity to join a special intake through the SPM Advance Entry Intake – “Start Early, Graduate Ahead.” This initiative allows students to register immediately after their results are announced and begin their studies earlier, enabling them to graduate ahead of the conventional timeline. Registration for this special intake will take place on 12 April 2026.

The event concluded on a warm note as MMU and its media partners fostered their engagement while sharing the spirit of Ramadan together.
