MMU staff, Mr Muhammad Raffiq Mohd Radzi, from Student Recruitment Office (SRO) won The Best Male Participant Award in the 24th National Olympic Academy for Young Participants (NOA) which was organized by Olympic Council of Malaysia (OCM) from 28th March to 1 April 2022 at Kuala Lumpur.

The annual event served as a platform to cultivate the positive culture of the Olympics, as well as preserving and spreading the Olympic spirit among the younger generation. It exposed the 22 participants about the educational and social principles of Olympism and consolidated the scientific basis of the Olympic Ideal. It includes the principles laid down by the ancient Greeks and the revivers of the contemporary Olympic Movement, through Baron de Courbetin’s initiative and upholds the value of respect, excellence and friendship.

Mr. Raffiq received his award certificate from Director of National Olympic Academy of Malaysia, Nicholas Chan. The winner was selected based on leadership skill, active engagement, communication and participation in all activities organised. With the winning, Mr. Raffiq will represent Malaysia in the upcoming International Olympic Academy session, which is scheduled to be held in June in Greece.
