Sahabat Sukarelawan Melaka Campus in collaboration with MMU MESRA Club has raised significant donations and contributions for Prihatin COVID-19 fund. The fund was utilised to assist the needy and frontliners on duty during this pandemic. A total of 40 staff volunteers was involved in making DIY face shields from home. The face shields were distributed to the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM Melaka), Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN Melaka), Hang Tuan Jaya Municipal Council (MPHTJ, Melaka), 514 Territorial Army Regiment, Melaka Civil Defense Force as well as Melaka and Kelantan hospitals.
The same team also has launched another donation drive called “Sebakul Senyuman Ramadan 1441H” to assist people in need during this fasting month. The fund will be used to supply food items to the targeted community around Melaka. In the spirit of Ramadan, let’s spread a little cheer by giving back to the less fortunate. All donations can be channeled to MMU Mesra Club (Kelab Rekreasi dan Kebajikan Staf Universiti Multimedia Melaka dan Selangor) at CIMB bank account 8601 1384 06 (Reference: COVID-19 or Ramadan).
