CAREER PROSPECTS
Testimonials
“Greetings readers, Puteri’s here and this is my story.
Coming from a pure science background, I have always been drawn to numbers and analytical thinking. My curiosity about how countries build and sustain economic stability led me to pursue the Bachelor of Analytical Economics (Hons.) at MMU. The program equipped me with a strong foundation in economic theory and practical analytical skills that are directly relevant to today’s economy.
With guidance from dedicated lecturers, I was challenged to think critically and understand how economic decisions impact us. The exposure I gained through my degree has sharpened my confidence in applying my knowledge and experience in economics beyond the classroom.
Advancing to today, I secured a position in the banking industry immediately after completing my internship. This clearly reflects the value of the BAE program in preparing graduates for the industry. I stand as the living proof as to what this degree can help you achieve.
Here’s to your success, amigos!”
“Hi, my name is Nur Akma Nazihah and I was a pure science high school graduate that pivoted to economics for my tertiary education because of my never-ending curiosity on ‘how does the world work’. Bachelor of Analytical Economics (Hons.) at MMU fits the puzzle with the added advantage of data analytics, modelling and programming exposure that gives the economics theories with real-world examples.
Learning economics from the most supportive lecturers allowed me to explore my interest and learn from the industry as much as possible through constant discussion about future economic projections (eg: EUDR 2025, Carbon Tax Mechanism, Renewable Energy Transition Roadmap) or current moves (eg: tariffs) and its impact on local and global economy.
Moreover, as I specialized in financial economics, I got to dive deeper into the financial reals and learn about capital markets, Investment in Bursa Malaysia, International finance and banking and thus able to assess the impact of any market movements to the capital market and country’s financial stability.
Post-graduation, I was accepted as a trainee dealer in group treasury at a local bank, proving the course’s effectiveness in grooming skilled economics professionals.”
