FOL Students Vie for Internal Law Moot Competition (Final Round)

The Multimedia University Law Society (MULS) successfully organised the annual Law Moot Competition Preliminary Round 2018/2019 recently. This annual prestigious event of MULS is the closest experience that students can have whilst at the university to appearing in court. It also serves as a platform for students to develop their mooting or advocacy skills which will have a positive impact on their future career.

A grand total of 64 Law students participated in the Preliminary Round. These participants formed 32 teams and contested in 16 different matches; namely, 8 Bahasa Malaysia matches and 8 English matches. Few prominent lawyers and practising alumnus of FOL were invited as judges at the competition. The top 2 teams of each category will enter the Final Round which will be tentatively to be held in December 2018. The finalists of the English category are Lim Zhi Jun, Moy Jo Yin, Lee Chia Yee and Ong Yong Le; while the finalists of the Bahasa Malaysia category are Amyra Annisa binti Farouk, Farisha Fazreena Binti Mohamed Haslan, Lam Xin-Hui and Khoo Zhi Yin.
