Master of Electrical and Electronic Engineering is a Master’s programme by taught course with a short research project. It provides specialization in three areas – Microelectronics, Photonics and Electric Energy Management. It aims to equip working electrical and electronic engineers and technologists with updated knowledge and skills to cope with the rapidly evolving world.

Forbes ranked Master of Electrical Engineering the 11th best Master’s degree for jobs in 2017. According to PayScale data, an engineer with a Master of Engineering degree, on average, is paid 20% more than those without. The annual salary roughly ranges from RM 40,000 to RM 200,000.

PROGRAMME EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

  • To produce senior engineer with advanced knowledge and technical skills within the field of electrical and electronics engineering
  • To develop graduates who are able to work independently on projects which require them to research, design/build, test, analyse, and deliver engineering solution to meet appropriate standards and realistic constraints
  • To produce graduates with skills to seek knowledge through lifelong learning
  • To develop technical leaders who are equipped with effective oral and written communication skills
  • To develop leaders in social, economic, cultural, legal and environmental aspects globally
