Foundation in Engineering

The Foundation in Engineering programme at Multimedia University is highly favoured by Malaysians and international students who are interested in pursuing engineering programmes. The programme is tailored to equip students with a solid foundation in fundamental concepts and essential skills such as problem-solving and critical thinking. Along with a strong technical and analytical background, the curriculum also emphasises the development of independent learning and interpersonal communication skills. This approach ensures that the students will not only excel in their undergraduate studies, but also thrive as exceptional professionals and continuous learners throughout their lives.

PROGRAMME EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

  • To produce students who are competent in utilising knowledge of science and engineering for discussion, applying them to solve problems, and performing academic activities to make conclusions.
  • To produce students who can communicate effectively, and are competent in utilising digital technology applications to seek and process data, and for lifelong learning.

PROGRAMME OUTCOMES

  • To utilise facts to describe and discuss concepts, principles, and processes of science and engineering
  • To apply fundamental principles of science and engineering to identify and solve problems
  • To conduct academic activities such as collect, analyse, organise, and process data/information to make conclusions individually or in groups
  • To communicate effectively orally and in writing
  • To utilise basic digital technology to seek and process data related to science and engineering.
  • To search, interpret, and use relevant information to pursue lifelong learning independently
