(R3/0611/7/0025) 03/27 (A8127)

The Master of Information Technology (MIT) is a postgraduate programme by coursework delivered in an Open Distance Learning (ODL) mode. It is offered by the Faculty of Information Science and Technology (FIST) at Multimedia University, Melaka campus. This MIT programme offers two tracks in Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity. It is designed to cultivate graduates with the necessary competencies for senior or managerial positions in an IT organisation or relevant industry, while also supporting continual professional development through technical certifications.

The curriculum covers a diverse range of topics, including artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and data analytics. It places a strong emphasis on practical skills to address contemporary computing challenges. It also fosters leadership, effective communication and collaboration with diverse stakeholders.

The ODL environment utilises an online learning platform to provide digital content, learning resources and online lectures to students. Students can access these materials at any time and create a study plan that fits around their work and family commitments. The programme is entirely coursework-based with no final examination. This allows students to focus on continuous assessments, projects and practical assignments to demonstrate their understanding and skills.
