This programme equips students with business intelligence and analytical skills to provide insights and improved decision making to corporations in achieving business agility. The purpose is to produce graduates who are knowledgeable in the components of information technology and data analytics, capable to plan, design, visualise, analyse and interpret business statistical data. Some of the subjects covered in this programme are Data Mining and Machine Learning, IT Project Management for Business Analysts, Business Intelligence, Internet Marketing, Knowledge Intelligence, Information Systems Audit, Human Computer Interaction, Organisational Behaviour, Enterprise Resource Planning and Technology Transfer.

PROGRAMME EDUCATION OBJECTIVES

  • PEO1: Computing practitioners in BIA who can demonstrate knowledge (LOD1) and skills (LOD2) to develop reliable computing solutions (LOD3) in various ICT application domains in line with industry requirements.
  • PEO2: Computing practitioners who can deliver BIA related solutions individually or in team (LOD5) through effective interpersonal and communication skills (LOD4) with diverse stakeholders.
  • PEO3: Computing practitioners who can lead with autonomy and engage in team (LOD8) utilising computing skills (LOD6 & LOD7) in BIA to explore business opportunities (LOD10) and practice continual development through life-long learning (LOD9).
  • PEO3: Computing practitioners in BIA who uphold and integrate ethical and professional practices (LOD11) in servicing clients and society as a whole with self and professional integrity.
