In today’s fast-paced world, advancements in technology are rapidly shaping the way we live, and solutions derived from Science and Technology play a key role in solving problems and accessing information in our daily routines. The Foundation in Science and Technology programme is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to successfully transition into their chosen degree programmes.

Our classes and laboratories are equipped with state-of-the-art hardware, software, and tools, providing an engaging, hands-on learning environment that nurtures both technical expertise and soft skills.

Upon completing the Foundation in Science and Technology programme, students will be well-prepared to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in any of the diverse fields offered by Faculty of Information Science & Technology (FIST), and Faculty of Engineering & Technology (FET), as well as Faculty of Informatics (FCI) and Faculty of Artificial Intelligence & Engineering (FAIE).

PROGRAMME EDUCATION OBJECTIVES

PEO1: To produce students with the ability to apply fundamental knowledge and skills in pursuing tertiary level studies in either Technology or Computing.
PEO2: To produce students, who possess effective communication, problem solving and lifelong learning skills qualified with good values as a leader or team member in Technology or Computing.

PROGRAMME OUTCOMES

PLO1: To acquire basic knowledge and fundamental principle in Technology or Computing.
PLO2: To apply analytical and problem-solving skills in solving problems in Technology or Computing.
PLO3: To apply basic techniques, skills and tools in conducting academic activities independently as a team member or leader in fields of Technology or Computing.
PLO4: To communicate ideas and thoughts effectively verbally and in writing in fields of Technology or Computing.
PLO5: To utilise digital technology applications in searching and processing data in fields of Technology or Computing.
PLO6: To acquire lifelong learning skills towards intellectual and self-development in fields of Technology or Computing.
