Our team from Multimedia University recently secured the First Runner-Up (Second position) at the KRAFT 2025 Challenge, organized by KPJ Healthcare in collaboration with the Ministry of Health Malaysia held in conjunction with MIH Megatrends 2025 at Kuala Lumpur Conventional Center on 25-27 November 2025. The team was awarded RM 7,000 in prize money for their achievement. The competition focused on innovative digital-health solutions for national healthcare needs.
For this challenge, a novel digital emotional-support application was presented for addressing elderly loneliness, using augmented reality (AR) and artificial intelligence (AI). The aim is to provide emotional companionship, support mental well-being, and help reduce loneliness-related mental health risks among seniors.
