Pelancaran Program Sekolah Angkat ni telah dijalankan pada 22 Mac 2022 dengan kehadiran wakil-wakil daripada sekolah yang telah dilantik seperti Pengetua, Penolong Kanan Pentadbiran, Guru Kaunseling dan wakil Persatuan Ibu Bapa dan Guru (PIBG) sekolah. Majlis ini telah dirasmikan oleh Puan Maznah Abu Bakar, Pengarah Bahagian Sumber Pendidikan dan Teknologi Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia (KPM) dengan kehadiran Prof Dato’ Dr Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, Presiden MMU serta dekan setiap fakulti yang ada di MMU

Objektif utama tercetusnya idea program ini adalah untuk menunjukkan MMU serius dengan pembangunan komuniti bukan sahaja setempat dan juga seluruh Malaysia.

Fasa kedua pemilihan sekolah angkat telah dilaksanakan sepanjang bulan Mei 2022. Bagi tahun 2022 sebanyak 18 sekolah telah dilantik sebagai di bawah Program Sekolah Angkat MMU 2022.

Jiran is a community portal developed by TM under the Business Innovation Group (BIG). The idea behind Jiran is to generate hyperlocal content based on the diverse neighbourhood we have all over Malaysia.

With the launching of Jiran @MMU on 7 December 2020, it provides a platform to the MMU population to have an avenue where they can share their local stories on a digital platform

The competition was opened to students of all ages, including Higher Educations Institutions, Secondary School and even Primary School students.

SEDA is the authority in the subject matter while MMU has the expertise in creative content production knowledge transfer. The collaboration will be able to leverage on the strengths to increase the awareness of renewable energy and sustainable energy in Malaysia.

There were free Online Workshops live streamed from MMU studios on MMU FB and MMU Youtube Channel and SEDA FB. Topic on Poster Making, Video Challenge Creation, Tricks and Tools for Poster Making and Tricks and Tools for Video Creation to help the participants prepare for the Challenge.

There were many entries from all categories, and it was great to see the effort and content produced by the participants. The winners were announced during the Awards and Closing Ceremony held virtually on 4^th December 2021.

Overall, the Sustainable Energy Awareness Poster & Short Video Challenge achieved its aim to create and involve various communities in awareness for sustainable energy and renewable energy. In addition, it also developed the skills in awareness for the sustainable communication amongst the young generation.

In 2022, the evaluation process had 3 stages as follows:

• Completion of CX Velocity Survey – Minimum 30 customer responses must be achieved/ Clientele from B2B/ B2C or mixture of both depending on the business nature/ entities that are participating. Each company would identify the customer and provide them with the survey link and participation code. The response of the survey will be received by Business Media International.
• Video Call Session to present about our Customer Experience initiatives and at the same time to share the CXP survey results.
• Selection of branding plan and Award Acceptance

This achievement proves that MMU is on the right track in our Customer Experience efforts and initiatives. Our customers believe in us and have confidence in our brand.

The aim of the iCadet program is to groom industry-ready graduates with the right talent for the right industry. The program serves as an avenue to provide the students with early exposure to the cultures within industries and real working environment. This program also provides opportunities for the industry partners to provide early coaching and training to the students to match the company needs later.  For this purpose, MMU has partnered with several companies.

The event was also attended by the industry-partners such as Datuk Seri Dr. Syed Hussian Aljunid from Media Prima Berhad, Datuk Mat Nadzari Ahmad Dahlan from UAC Berhad, and Mr. Fazli Zainal Abidin from Bank Muamalat Malaysia Berhad.

MMU is looking forward for other companies to come and join us for the iCadet program.

Tujuan lawatan ini adalah untuk memberikan pendedahan kepada para pelajar dan guru-guru mengenai kehidupan di universiti, serta teknologi-teknologi terkini dalam sector pendidikan. Menurut Presiden MMU, Multimedia University juga dikenali sebagai MMULand, adalah tempat dan institusi untuk pelajar-pelajar menjadikan mimpi sebagai satu realiti.

Para pelajar dan guru telah dibawa melawat beberapa fakulti di MMU, antaranya Fakulti Seni Sinematik, Fakulti Multimedia Kreatif, Fakulti Kejuruteraan, serta Fakulti Kompuiter dan Informatik. Pelajar didedahkan antaranya dengan proses perfileman, bagaimana robot berfungsi, dan juga pertanian pintar (Smart Farming).

Bagi Guru Penolong Kanan SMK Seri Perak, Puan Julia Mustaffa, lawatan ini membuatkan beliau tertarik dengan beberapa perkara yang boleh diaplikasikan di sekolah terutamanya Smart Farming dan Green Screen Studio. Beliau juga mencadangkan para pelajar untuk menyambung pelajaran di Multimedia University kerana persekitaran yang menarik, kondusif, selesa dan lengkap. Menurut salah seorang pelajar di SMK, Nurrabiatul Adawiyah Muhamad Nazri, kehidupan di universiti adalah sesuatu yang sukar dibayangkan sebelum ini. Minat pendalam terhadap perfileman membuatkan adik Nurrabiatul lebih teruja dalam lawatan ini. Kejuruteraan pula adalah tumpuan kepada adik Muhammad Azim Hasbullah Abdul Rahim, pelajar SMK Seri Perak. Lawatan ini memberikan tujuan yang lebih jelas kepadanya dalam mendalami bidang kejuruteraan.

Turut bersama menjayakan lawatan ini adalah Ts. Puan Natalya Rudina Dato Shamsuar, Pengarah Jabatan Pemasaran Strategik MMU, Puan Hazeatuladila, Pegawai Komuniti Digital MMU, Ts. Amir Shahlan, Dean Fakulti Seni Sinematik, dan Dr. Sin Yew Keong, Pensyarah Fakulti Kejuruteraan.

Kami di Multimedia University berharap lawatan ini dapat memberikan manfaat kepada guru-guru, pelajar dan masyarakat.
